The teaser for Lee Cronin’s new take on the classic The Mummy tale mixes a montage of creepy scenes with plenty of onscreen taglines promoting the 2026 horror film’s pedigree. The minute-long teaser ends with the question, “What happened to Katie?”
Lee Cronin’s The Mummy opens in theaters on April 17, 2026.
Jack Reynor (Midsommar), Laia Costa (The Wheel of Time), May Calamawy (Moon Knight), Natalie Grace (1923), and Veronica Falcón (Perry Mason) star. Evil Dead Rise‘s Lee Cronin wrote, directed, and executive produced.
“The young daughter of a journalist disappears into the desert without a trace—eight years later, the broken family is shocked when she is returned to them, as what should be a joyful reunion turns into a living nightmare,” reads New Line Cinema’s synopsis.
James Wan, Jason Blum, and John Keville serve as producers, with Michael Clear, Judson Scott, and Macdara Kelleher executive producing. The behind-the-scenes team includes director of photography Dave Garbett, production designer Nick Bassett, editor Bryan Shaw, and costume designer Joanna Eatwell, with music by Stephen McKeon and casting by Terri Taylor and Sarah Domeier Lindo.
