The official trailer for the long-awaited third season of HBO’s Euphoria confirms the series has come a long way since debuting as a high school drama. The lengthy trailer shows it’s now a full-on Breaking Bad-ish adult crime drama.

HBO’s trailer release was accompanied by the reveal of the season three premiere date. The eight-episode season, which arrives four years after season two, will debut on Sunday, April 12, 2026 at 9pm ET/PT.

Emmy winner Zendaya leads the cast as Rue Bennett. Hunter Schafer is Jules, Eric Dane plays Cal, Critics Choice Awards winner Jacob Elordi is Nate, and Emmy nominee Sydney Sweeney returns as Cassie. Alexa Demie plays Maddie, Maude Apatow is Lexi, Emmy nominee Martha Kelly is Laurie, and Chloe Cherry is Faye. Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje and Toby Wallace also star in season three.

Returning guest stars include Colman Domingo, Dominic Fike, Nika King, Alanna Ubach, Sophia Rose Wilson, Melvin Bonez Estes, Daeg Faerch, Paula Marshall, Zak Steiner, and Marsha Gambles.

HBO’s super short description of season three reads: “A group of childhood friends wrestle with the virtue of faith, the possibility of redemption, and the problem of evil.”

The Emmy-winning series was created by Sam Levinson, who serves as writer, director, and executive producer. Additional executive producers include Ashley Levinson, Sara E. White, Kevin Turen, Ravi Nandan, Drake, Adel “Future” Nur, Ron Leshem, Daphna Levin, Hadas Mozes Lichtenstein, Mirit Toovi, Tmira Yardeni, Yoram Mokady, and Gary Lennon.

Levinson and cinematographer Marcell Rév shot the third season on new KODAK motion picture film stock in both 35mm and 65mm. According to HBO, Euphoria season three is “the first narrative television series to shoot significant volume of 65mm film, providing for an expanded image on screen which mirrors the characters’ journeys out of high school into the wider, wilder world.”
