The official trailer for Star City shows the events of For All Mankind but from the Russians’ perspective. The new spinoff of Apple TV’s critically acclaimed series premieres on May 29, 2026 with the first two episodes.

New episodes of the eight-episode season will stream on Fridays.

The series stars Rhys Ifans (House of the Dragon), Anna Maxwell Martin (Motherland), Agnes O’Casey (Black Doves), Alice Englert (Bad Behaviour), Solly McLeod (House of the Dragon), Adam Nagaitis (Chernobyl), Ruby Ashbourne Serkis (I, Jack Wright), Josef Davies (Andor), and Priya Kansara (Bridgerton).

Star City is a propulsive, paranoid thriller that takes us back to the key moment in the alt-history retelling of the space race—when the Soviet Union became the first nation to put a man on the moon,” reads Apple TV’s synopsis. “But this time, we explore the story from behind the Iron Curtain, showing the lives of the cosmonauts, the engineers, and the intelligence officers embedded among them in the Soviet space program and the risks they all took to propel humankind forward.”

Ben Nedivi, Matt Wolpert, and Ronald D. Moore created the series, and Wolpert and Nedivi are the showrunners. Nedivi, Wolpert, Moore, Maril Davis, Andrew Chambliss, and Steve Oster serve as executive producers. Sony Pictures Television produces the series for Apple TV.

For All Mankind debuted in November 2019, followed by season two in February 2021 and season three in June 2022. Season four premiered in November 2023 and season five arrived in March 2026.

For All Mankind has been renewed for a sixth and final season.
