CBS has given a quick season two renewal order to CIA starring Tom Ellis and Nick Gehlfuss. The crime drama premiered on February 23, 2026 and pulled in more than 8 million viewers over its first week in release. It also increased its time period year-over-year by 39% and beat established series The Rookie and The Voice.

New episodes air on Mondays at 10pm ET/PT immediately following FBI.

Season one stars Tom Ellis as CIA Agent Colin Glass, Nick Gehlfuss as Special Agent Bill Goodman, Necar Zadegan as Deputy Chief of Station Nikki Reynard, and Natalee Linez as CIA Analyst Gina Gosian.

“When by-the-book FBI Special Agent Bill Goodman is loaned out to a clandestine CIA/FBI task force, he finds himself teamed up with secretive and roguish CIA Agent Colin Glass. Together they will work covert operations in New York, uncovering international plots, terrorist cells, and geopolitical secrets,” reads CBS’s synopsis. “On CIA, Bill will learn the rules of this murky world on the fly as Colin leads him deeper into spy games where only one thing is clear—their work keeps America safe, even if no one will ever know what they did in the shadows.”

Executive producers include Dick Wolf, Mike Weiss, Ken Girotti, Paul Cabbad, Nicole Perlman, David Chasteen, Anastasia Puglisi, and Peter Jankowski.
