The Disney Channel has landed on an October 29, 2024 premiere date for the Wizards of Waverly Place sequel, Wizards Beyond Waverly Place. The Wizards sequel focuses on Justin Russo, played by David Henrie, and fans can expect Selena Gomez to pop in as Alex Russo for the first episode.

Wizards Beyond Waverly Place follows an adult Justin Russo, who has chosen to lead a normal, mortal life with his family, Giada, Roman and Milo,” reads Disney+’s synopsis. “When Justin’s sister Alex brings Billie to his home seeking help, Justin realizes he must dust off his magical skills to mentor the wizard-in-training while also juggling his everyday responsibilities — and safeguarding the future of the Wizard World.”

Joining David Henrie for the family-friendly follow-up are Janice LeAnn Brown as Billie, Alkaio Thiele as Roman Russo, and Max Matenko as Milo Russo. Taylor Cora plays Winter and Mimi Gianopulos stars as Giada Russo.

Disney Channel’s premiere date announcement included the news that Raven-Symoné (Raven’s Home) and Danielle Fishel (Girl Meets World) are directing episodes of the first season. The announcement also included a new teaser poster for season one.

Jed Elinoff and Scott Thomas write and executive produce. Additional executive producers include Gary Marsh, Jonas Agin, Selena Gomez, and David Henrie. Executive producer Andy Fickman directed the first episode and will direct additional episodes.
