AMC’s first teaser trailer for the fourth and final season of Snowpiercer confirms fans are going to be in for one helluva last ride. The final season kicks off on July 21, 2024, with new episodes airing on Sunday at 9pm ET/PT.
Oscar winner Jennifer Connelly and GRAMMY and Tony Award-winner Daveed Diggs return to lead the final season’s cast as Melanie Cavill and Andre Layton. Additional returning cast includes Sean Bean, Rowan Blanchard, Emmy nominee Alison Wright, Mickey Sumner, Iddo Goldberg, and Katie McGuinness. Tony Award-winner Lena Hall, Sam Otto, Chelsea Harris, Mike O’Malley, Roberto Urbina, and Sheila Vand also reprise their roles for season four.
Clark Gregg (Agents of SHIELD) and Tony winner Michael Aronov (The Americans) join the cast for the show’s final season.
“Set more than seven years after the world has become a frozen wasteland, Snowpiercer centers on the remnants of humanity who inhabit a perpetually moving train, with 1001 cars, that circles the globe,” reads AMC’s synopsis. “The action-packed finale of Season 3 left a split with Melanie Cavill (Connelly) leading the Eternal Engine and those passengers who chose to stay aboard Snowpiercer for relative safety, and Andre Layton (Diggs) leading the others on Big Alice choosing to adventure to the unknown, outside world of New Eden.”
The critically acclaimed series is based on the graphic novel series by Jacques Lob and Jean-Marc Rochette and the film by Bong Joon Ho. Paul Zbyszewski, Christoph Schrewe; Marty Adelstein, Becky Clements, Alissa Bachner, Matthew O’Connor, Ben Rosenblatt, and Scott Derrickson executive produce. Additional executive producers include Bong Joon Ho, Miky Lee, Jinnie Choi, Park Chan-wook, Lee Tae-hun, and Dooho Choi.
The series is produced by Tomorrow Studios (an ITV Studios partner) along with CJ Entertainment.
