

Hootie & the Blowfish will return to the American Music Awards as performers 30 years after winning the AMAs‘ Pop/Rock New Artist award. The band’s expected to perform some of their hits from back in the ’90s during the awards show airing live on CBS on May 25, 2026 at 5pm PT/8pm ET.
Dick Clark Productions and CBS confirmed Katseye will be celebrating their first AMA nomination with a performance of “Pinky Up.” Keith Urban will take the stage to perform a song from Flow State, his yacht rock album dropping on June 12. Twenty One Pilots is confirmed to perform “Drag Path,” and Riley Green, currently seen in a guest-starring role on Marshals, will hit the AMAs stage for the very first time.
SOMBR, up for seven awards, will make his debut on the AMAs, and Teddy Swims is set to sing “Mr. Know It All.” Maluma rounds out the list of just-announced performers and is expected to perform a song from Loco x Volver, dropping on May 15.
Queen Latifah is hosting the 52nd American Music Awards live from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
Taylor Swift leads this year’s list of nominees with eight nominations. Morgan Wallen, Olivia Dean, Sabrina Carpenter, and SOMBR each received seven nominations. Fans can vote for their favorites at VoteAMAs.com through Friday, May 8, at 11:59:59am PT.
