Universal Pictures’ official trailer for Disclosure Day provides a deeper look at Steven Spielberg’s return to the world of extraterrestrials. The two-minute trailer teases that the truth about the existence of aliens needs to come out and that the government’s been involved in a cover-up for nearly eight decades.
The big-name cast includes Oscar nominee Emily Blunt (Oppenheimer), Emmy winner Josh O’Connor (The Crown), Oscar winner Colin Firth (The King’s Speech), Eve Hewson (Bad Sisters) and two-time Oscar nominee Colman Domingo (Sing Sing).
“If you found out we weren’t alone, if someone showed you, proved it to you, would that frighten you? This summer, the truth belongs to seven billion people.
We are coming close to … Disclosure Day,” reads Universal’s synopsis.
Three-time Oscar winner Steven Spielberg directs from a screenplay by David Koepp, based on a story by Spielberg. Kristie Macosko Krieger and Spielberg serve as producers, with Adam Somner and Chris Brigham executive producing.
