Arrakis has changed in the 17 years between the events of Dune: Part Two and Dune: Part Three, and the first teaser features Paul (Timothée Chalamet), in a voiceover, describing war as feeding on itself. “The more I fight, the more enemies fight back,” he says before declaring, “I’m doing the best I can to protect my family.”
The two-minute action-packed trailer also features brief scenes of new and returning characters, including Zendaya as Chani, Rebecca Ferguson as Lady Jessica, Anya Taylor-Joy as Alia Atreides, Javier Bardem as Stilgar, Florence Pugh as Irulan, and Robert Pattinson as Scytale. And the teaser confirms the return of Jason Momoa.
The third film of the trilogy is based on Frank Herbert’s Dune Messiah. Denis Villeneuve returns to direct and co-wrote the screenplay with Brian K. Vaughan.
Dune: Part One was released in October 2021, followed by Part Two in March 2024. Warner Bros. Pictures is releasing Dune: Part Three in theaters on December 18, 2026.
