Apple TV+’s new thriller The Last Frontier kicks off its 10-episode season on October 19, 2025 with the debut of the first two episodes. The new series stars Jason Clarke (A House of Dynamite) as a US marshal and takes place in the Alaskan wilderness.
Season one also stars Dominic Cooper (That Dirty Black Bag), Haley Bennett (Borderlands), Simone Kessell (Yellowjackets), Dallas Goldtooth (Reservation Dogs), Tait Blum (For All Mankind), and Alfre Woodard (Salem’s Lot). New episodes will stream on Fridays.
Jon Bokenkamp and Richard D’Ovidio created the series and serve as executive producers along with Jason Clarke, Laura Benson, Glenn Kessler, Albert Kim, and Sam Hargrave. Bokenkamp and D’Ovidio are the writers, and Hargrave directs.
“The Last Frontier follows Frank Remnick (Clarke), the lone U.S. marshal in charge of the quiet, rugged barrens of Alaska. Remnick’s jurisdiction is turned upside down when a prison transport plane crashes in the remote wilderness, setting free dozens of violent inmates,” reads Apple TV+’s synopsis. “Tasked with protecting the town he’s vowed to keep safe, he begins to suspect the crash wasn’t an accident but the first step of a well-crafted plan with far-reaching and devastating implications.”
Episode 1 – Blue Skies – U.S. Marshal Frank Remnick’s quiet life in Alaska is turned upside-down when a prison transport plane crashes in the remote wilderness, setting free dozens of violent inmates.
Episode 2 – Winds of Change – When an escaped underworld accountant surrenders himself, Frank is forced to make an unimaginable decision.
