Hulu’s is turning up the excitement for The Handmaid’s Tale season six with the release of the first six official photos. The new season won’t debut until spring 2025, and the first images are spoiler-free.
Series star and executive producer Elisabeth Moss posted the photos and a message to fans on Instagram: “Here’s a sneak peek at what we’ve been up to… We are hard at work on the final season and I’m so excited to share with you guys these first look images!!! These are from episodes 1 and 2, directed by yours truly, and episode 3, directed by @thisIsdavidl, all shot by @nicdaleydp. 
”
In addition to Elisabeth Moss, the sixth and final season stars Yvonne Strahovski, Bradley Whitford, Max Minghella, Ann Dowd, and O.T. Fagbenle. Samira Wiley, Madeline Brewer, Amanda Brugel, Sam Jaeger, Ever Carradine, and Josh Charles also star in the critically acclaimed, award-winning drama.
“Adapted from the classic novel by Margaret Atwood, The Handmaid’s Tale is the story of life in the dystopia of Gilead, a totalitarian society in what was formerly the United States,” reads Hulu’s synopsis. “Offred (Moss), one of the few fertile women known as Handmaids in the oppressive Republic of Gilead, struggles to survive as a reproductive surrogate for a powerful Commander and his resentful wife.”
Season six executive producers include Moss, Bruce Miller, Warren Littlefield, Eric Tuchman, Yahlin Chang, Sheila Hockin, John Weber, Frank Siracusa, Steve Stark, Kim Todd, Daniel Wilson, and Fran Sears.
