Hulu’s Pam & Tommy stars Lily James and Sebastian Stan will reunite for the horror thriller Let the Evil Go West. James and Stan had impressive chemistry in Pam & Tommy, earning Emmy nominations for playing Pamela Anderson and Tommy Lee. The limited series picked up 10 Emmy nominations overall, as well as three Critics Choice Awards nominations. And it’s currently available for bingeing on Hulu.
Christian Tafdrup (Speak No Evil) is attached to direct the psychological thriller. Xc Vs wrote the screenplay, and Star Thrower Entertainment and Gramercy Park Media are producing. Gramercy Park Media is also financing the film. north.five.six, CAA Media Finance, and UTA Independent Film Group will launch film sales at Cannes.
“Let the Evil Go West follows a railroad worker who stumbles upon a fortune under deeply disturbing circumstances,” reads the synopsis. “As horrifying visions and manifestations drive him toward madness, his wife becomes convinced that an evil presence has attached itself to their family.”
Allan Mandelbaum, Star Thrower Entertainment’s Tim and Trevor White, and Gramercy Park Media’s Mark Fasano and Nathan Klingher are producing. Sebastian Stan, Lily James, and Gramercy Park’s Joshua Harris and Ford Corbett are executive producing along with north.five.six.’s Michael Rothstein and Samuel Hall.
Stan’s recent credits include A Different Man, Fresh, and Falcon & The Winter Soldier. He recently completed work playing a young Donald Trump in The Young Apprentice for director Ali Abbasi. Stan’s also reprising his role as Bucky Barnes in Thunderbolts.
James’ filmography includes The Iron Claw, Baby Driver, What’s Love Got to Do With It?, Rebecca, and Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again. James stars opposite Joseph Gordon-Levitt in Greedy People, which is expected to be released later this year. She recently wrapped up work on Relay, a thriller written and directed by David Mackenzie.
