SoCal to see cooler temperatures Thursday as Santa Ana winds set to return at night

LOS ANGELES (KABC) — Southern California on Thursday will see some clouds in the morning and Santa Ana winds are set to return to the region by the evening.

Los Angeles and Orange counties on Thursday will see morning clouds and an afternoon high of 65 as gusty winds pick up at night. The windy conditions will stick around Friday morning as temperatures increase to 72.

The valleys and Inland Empire on Thursday will see cooler temperatures, with a high of 67 on tap. Strong winds blow through the region at night.

Beaches will get off to a cloudy start, but sunshine is expected by the afternoon amid a high of 65 Thursday.

Mountains will be cold, with some snow flurries possible Thursday. A high of 39 is expected, and temperatures at night drop to 22.

Deserts will be sunny and temperatures will reach 60 degrees Thursday. Gusts as strong as 40 mph are possible.
