Lucasfilm unveiled the first teaser trailer for The Mandalorian spinoff, Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu, and it’s got plenty of the titular characters. The one-minute teaser also features action snippets, new creatures, and Sigourney Weaver.
Jon Favreau directs and Pedro Pascal stars, with Favreau, Kathleen Kennedy, Dave Filoni, and Ian Bryce serving as producers. Ludwig Göransson composed the music.
“The evil Empire has fallen, and Imperial warlords remain scattered throughout the galaxy. As the fledgling New Republic works to protect everything the Rebellion fought for, they have enlisted the help of legendary Mandalorian bounty hunter Din Djarin (Pascal) and his young apprentice, Grogu,” reads Lucasfilm’s synopsis.
Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu was filmed for IMAX and will open in theaters on May 22, 2026.
The Mandalorian premiered on Disney+ in November 2019, followed by season two in October 2020. The eight-episode third season arrived in March 2023.
