Netflix’s The Hunting Wives will return for season two, with the main cast reprising their roles. Season one premiered on July 21, 2025, and the streamer hasn’t announced a target date for season two.
“I’m so excited to write these amazing characters again, and I can’t wait to take the audience on another sexy, twisted, batshit crazy ride through Maple Brook,” said writer, executive producer, showrunner, and series creator Rebecca Cutter.
The adult drama generated 20 million views in the US over its first five weeks of release.
Malin Akerman (Neighborhood Watch) will return as Margo—hopefully with a much less distracting wig—and Brittany Snow (X) reprises her role as Sophie. Jamie Ray Newman (Dopesick), Dermot Mulroney (Anyone But You), Evan Jonigkeit (Archive 81), and George Ferrier (Sweet Tooth) will also return for season two.
“At the start of season two, Sophie and Margo are on the outs. But soon enough, old secrets and new foes force them back together,” reads Netflix’s synopsis. “As they play their dangerous games the question arises. Are they the hunters or the hunted?”
The series is based on May Cobb’s bestselling novel and produced by Lionsgate Television and 3 Arts Entertainment. Author Cobb serves as an executive producer along with 3 Arts Entertainment’s Erwin Stoff.
