Netflix’s sea creature limited series still doesn’t have a title but it does have new cast members. The streamer announced the untitled Newfoundland Project has begun production as Willow Kean (The King Tide), Ruby Stokes (Lockwood & Co), Rohan Campbell (The Monkey), and Kaleb Horn (Revival) fill out the ensemble.

The newcomers join the previously announced cast led by Josh Hartnett (Trap, Fight or Flight). The limited series also stars Mackenzie Davis (Station Eleven) and Charlie Heaton (Stranger Things). Jesse McKeown (The Unbrella Academy) created the series and serves as writer, executive producer, and showrunner.

“Jesse’s bold, ambitious vision offers thrills galore, with the heart of a family drama,” stated Netflix Canada content directors Danielle Woodrow and Tara Woodbury. “We can’t wait to transport our members to coastal Newfoundland with this timely story about community, resilience, and adaptability.”

Additional executive producers include Josh Hartnett, Jessica Rhoades, Chris Hatcher, Jamie Childs, Louise Sutton, and Sharon Hall. Writers include Karen Walton, Perry Chafe, and Natty Zavitz. Childs, Helen Shaver, and Stephen Dunn direct.

Netflix offered this synopsis of the untitled six-episode limited series: “When a mysterious sea creature terrorizes a remote Newfoundland town, a hard-bitten fisherman must fight to protect his family, his community, and his vanishing way of life.”

The streamer hasn’t confirmed a premiere date for the untitled series.
