‘Expedition Unknown’ Season 15 Episode 7: Josh Gates Heads to Turkey

Expedition Unknown Season 15 Episode 7

Discovery Channel wraps up Expedition Unknown season 15 with episode seven, which sends Josh Gates to Turkey. In the preview clip, Gates is stunned to walk through rooms as large as 65′ long that were built (and moved) by hand thousands of years prior to Stonehenge.

Season 15 episode seven, the season finale, will air on Wednesday, August 6, 2025 at 9pm ET/PT.

Discovery Channel offers this description of the series and episode seven: “Globetrotting explorer Josh Gates embarks on his boldest and most daring adventures yet in the new season of the Emmy®-nominated series. Gates’ intrepid curiosity and passion for epic exploration lead him on a truth-seeking quest spanning five continents as he sets sail across the Mediterranean to unravel the mystery of ancient shipwrecks consumed by Greece’s own Bermuda Triangle. And deep in the Pacific, he embarks on a groundbreaking mission to rediscover the lost plane of an American hero from World War II.

In the all-new episode, Josh Gates investigates the shocking rumors swirling around a Turkish dig site that is 6,000 years older than Stonehenge. Separating fact from fiction, the team uncovers evidence of tribal skull rituals, debunking the legend of an alien-constructed observatory.”
