Although Marvel Studios is still holding back on a full reveal of Galactus, the new trailer for The Fantastic Four: First Steps does provide shots of the Silver Surfer and has Sue and Reed confirming that Sue is pregnant. It also teases that Reed stretching the bounds of space caused the Silver Surfer to pay Earth a visit.
The trailer’s release was accompanied by photos and a new poster.
The first film of Marvel’s Phase 6 stars Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards/Mister Fantastic, Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm/Invisible Woman, Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm/Human Torch, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm/The Thing. Julia Garner plays Silver Surfer and Ralph Ineson is the film’s big bad, Galactus. Paul Walter Hauser, John Malkovich, Natasha Lyonne, and Sarah Niles also star.
Marvel Studios offers this description of the much-anticipated comic book adaptation: “The Fantastic Four: First Steps introduces Reed Richards/Mister Fantastic, Sue Storm/Invisible Woman, Johnny Storm/Human Torch, and Ben Grimm/The Thing as they face their most daunting challenge yet. Forced to balance their roles as heroes with the strength of their family bond, they must defend Earth from a ravenous space god called Galactus and his enigmatic Herald, Silver Surfer. And if Galactus’ plan to devour the entire planet and everyone on it weren’t bad enough, it suddenly gets very personal.”
Matt Shakman directs, and Kevin Feige is the producer. Executive producers include Louis D’Esposito, Grant Curtis, and Tim Lewis.
The Fantastic Four: First Steps opens in theaters on July 25, 2025.
