From Westeros to the wards: Natalie Dormer stars as Dr. Audrey Evans, a true hero battling for children with cancer in Audrey’s Children. The official trailer drops just in time to celebrate Dr. Evans’ 100th birthday and the start of Women’s History Month, revealing the incredible story behind a medical pioneer.
“Audrey’s Children tells the untold true story of visionary British physician Dr. Audrey Evans, who burst onto the scene in 1969 as the first female Chief of Oncology at the world-renowned Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia,” reads the synopsis. “Battling sexism, medical conventions, and the subterfuge of her peers, Evans developed the first Neuroblastoma Staging System, co-founded the first Ronald McDonald House for families of patients, and, ultimately, impacted the lives of millions of children and families around the world.”
Jimmi Simpson (Dark Matter), Clancy Brown (The Penguin), and Brandon Micheal Hall (Search Party) also star. Jackie & Ryan‘s Ami Canaan Mann directs and Julia Fisher Farbman wrote the screenplay. Fisher Farbman, a family friend of Dr. Evans’, also serves as a producer.
Blue Harbor Entertainment’s set a March 28, 2025 theatrical release.
