We don’t have an exact date but at least HBO’s confirmed The Last of Us will premiere in April 2025. The announcement of the premiere month was accompanied by a new one-minute teaser for the upcoming seven-episode season.

Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey star as Joel and Ellie. Returning season one cast includes Gabriel Luna as Tommy and Rutina Wesley as Maria. Newcomers to the award-winning post-apocalyptic series include Kaitlyn Dever as Abby, Isabela Merced as Dina, Young Mazino as Jesse, Ariela Barer as Mel, Tati Gabrielle as Nora, Spencer Lord as Owen, Danny Ramirez as Manny, and Jeffrey Wright as Isaac. Catherine O’Hara will guest star.

“Five years after the events of the first season, Joel and Ellie are drawn into conflict with each other and a world even more dangerous and unpredictable than the one they left behind,” reads HBO’s season two synopsis.

The critically acclaimed series is based on Naughty Dog’s video game franchise. Craig Mazin and Neil Druckmann write and executive produce. Additional executive producers include Carolyn Strauss, Jacqueline Lesko, Cecil O’Connor, Asad Qizilbash, Carter Swan, and Evan Wells. Halley Gross is a writer and co-executive producer.
