‘Mr. Monk’s Last Case’ Preview: Photos, Cast, Plot and Premiere Date

Tony Shalhoub returns to the role of Monk for Peacock’s Mr. Monk’s Last Case: A Monk Movie. The 90-minute mystery will air exclusively on the streaming service on December 8, 2023, and reunites Shalhoub with series creator, writer, and executive producer Andy Breckman.

“Monk returns to solve one last, very personal case involving his beloved stepdaughter Molly, a journalist preparing for her wedding,” reads Peacock’s synopsis.

Joining Monk star and executive producer Tony Shalhoub for the movie are returning cast members Ted Levine (On Becoming a God in Central Florida), Traylor Howard (Boston Common), Jason Gray-Stanford (Percy Jackson and The Olympians), Melora Hardin (The Office), and Hector Elizondo (Chicago Hope). Executive producer David Hoberman and executive producer/director Randy Zisk also return for the much-anticipated Monk project.

Caitlin McGee (Home Economics) joins the cast as Molly Evans and James Purefoy (Sex Education) plays Rick Eden.
