SoCal to see hot temps in some parts Tuesday, slight chance of thunderstorms in mountains, deserts

LOS ANGELES (KABC) — Southern California on Tuesday will see temperatures range from warm to hot as a chance of thunderstorms continues in the mountains and deserts.

Los Angeles and Orange counties on Tuesday will see some fog in the morning, reaching a high of 85 in the afternoon when the sun emerges.

The valleys and Inland Empire will hit 100 Tuesday, with temperatures dropping to 64 degrees at night. Similar conditions are on tap Wednesday.

Beaches on Tuesday will see a high of 75 with some clouds in the morning and 2-3 foot surf out of the southwest.

Mountains on Tuesday will see a high of 83 degrees and a 10% chance of thunderstorms. A 40% chance for flash flooding returns Wednesday and Thursday.

Deserts on Tuesday will be hot, reaching a high of 108 degrees. There will be an excessive heat warning in effect for the Antelope Valley amid the scorching temperatures. There’s also a 10% chance of thunderstorms.
