Sunshine, slightly cooler temperatures on tap in SoCal Wednesday

LOS ANGELES (KABC) — Southern California on Wednesday will be slightly cooler, but some parts will still be in the 90s ahead of a drop in temperatures later in the week.

Los Angeles and Orange counties can expect some early morning fog Wednesday and an afternoon high of 82. Temperatures will be in the high 70s Thursday as cooler weather arrives in the region.

The valleys and Inland Empire Wednesday will be cooler than previous days as a high of 92 is on tap. The region will be in the high 80s Thursday, and temperatures will gradually decrease through the end of the week.

Beaches will see temperatures around 72 degrees on Wednesday. Overnight lows will dip to 64 degrees.

Mountain communities will be sunny amid a high of 80 degrees on Wednesday. Temperatures will fall to 53 degrees at night.

Deserts on Wednesday will still be hot, with an afternoon high of 98 on tap. Some slight relief from the heat is expected Thursday when temperatures drop to the low 90s.
