Excessive heat warning issued for Antelope Valley as temps spike across most of Southern California

LOS ANGELES (KABC) — Southern California will see hot temperatures and sunny skies on Wednesday, prompting an excessive heat warning in the Antelope Valley while the mountain areas expect a slight chance of thunderstorms.

Los Angeles and Orange counties can expect morning fog before the sun pokes out and high temperatures hit about 85 degrees.

Valleys and the Inland Empire will see temperatures hit about 98 Wednesday, and then rise above 100 Thursday.

Mountains will see a high of 84 with a 10% chance of thunderstorms.

Desert temperatures will climb to 106 degrees, and an excessive heat warning will remain in effect in the Antelope Valley until 8 p.m.
