SoCal weather: Temperatures climbing into triple digits in many areas Friday

LOS ANGELES (KABC) — Parts of Southern California will see temperatures climb over 100 degrees on Friday, with excessive heat warnings in effect for many areas through the weekend.

Los Angeles and Orange counties will see a few morning clouds with a high of 85 degrees by Friday afternoon.

The valleys and Inland Empire will see a high of 100 degrees on Friday and over the next several days. Some areas within the Inland Empire are expected to climb up to 104 degrees.

Beaches will keep cool with temperatures in the low 70s all week.

Deserts will be hot all week, with Palm Springs potentially hitting 116 degrees by Friday.
