SoCal weather: Morning clouds, warm temperatures expected Thursday

LOS ANGELES (KABC) — The morning marine layer returns Thursday to parts of Southern California as temperatures dip just slightly from the heat wave the area saw last weekend.

Los Angeles and Orange counties will see some morning clouds, with a high of 80 degrees by afternoon. Temperatures will stay in the low to mid 80s through the weekend.

The valleys and Inland Empire will be warm with a high of 89 degrees in the mid-90s over the weekend.

Beaches will keep cool with temperatures in the 70s.

Deserts will be hot hitting 97 on Thursday and topping 100 over the weekend.
