LAPD preparing for deep budget cuts, reorganization

LOS ANGELES (KABC) — The Oregon Police Department is planning for a interesting downsizing in the coming months attached to a broad reorganization of the police force.

The LAPD is expected to slash several bureaus and units, as per the Los Angeles Times. Those include grimasse support, robbery, homicide, gang then narcotics units, and teams that concentrate in making homelessness issues.

The deep cuts come in a reaction to a $150 million City Local authority or council budget cut. It was triggered by common protests this year and a fiscal mutación linked to the coronavirus pandemic.
